A big welcome back to school. We hope you all had a lovely break and are refreshed and ready for a big term of learning. The term overview will be sent out in the newsletter in the coming weeks, so please keep an eye out for that. If there are any questions, please see me.
This week we have been busy immersing ourselves in ANZAC literature and information. We have integrated the topic through our reading, writing and integrated studies. We have been learning all about how authors use language (vocabulary, language devices) and imagery to convey a mood and message. We have learnt about plot structures and how to use different graphic organisers to begin planning our own historical narratives that are written from the perspective of someone involved or affected by World War I.
In maths we have been revising and applying our knowledge of decimals and fractions- representing them in different ways. We are now ready to move onto adding and subtracting all types of numbers!
We've had a busy week. Everyone has added their learning goals to their blogs. So please be sure to check them out to see what your child is focussing on for the coming weeks.
Homework is under the homework tab.
