Another productive week was had by 5/6C. This week we brushed up on our mental addition and subtraction skills, which will bring us into a nice unit dedicated to addition and subtraction of whole numbers and fractions. We have been learning all about natural disasters this week, in particular droughts and floods. In writing we have been learning about the structure of information reports and have started writing a report on a made up "flanimal." In reading, we looked at different ways non fiction texts can be organised and identified these in a range of information reports about different natural disasters.
Homework can be found under the homework tab.
A reminder that next Wednesday is open day. Please feel free to come in at any time during the day to see our class in action. Attached is the outline of our day, although please note that the afternoon session will be maths, not integrated studies.
