Yet another busy week here in 5/6C. This week we continued to work on place value, focusing on decimals. We participated in a variety of activities to help ground our knowledge of what decimals are, their size in relation to whole numbers and how to write and say them. Everyone worked extremely hard in these activities. We continued to write our newspaper reports, which will be published next week. This week we looked at the importance of clarifying while reading and what we need to do when we "don't get" what we are reading. An important strategy and one that will be revisited throughout the year. In integrated we started our project to sum up all the learning we have done over the term. 5/6s have been asked to create their own country and decide on how it will run in terms of government, law enforcement etc. They will be creating a webpage from this, so stay tuned for more information! Almanaska music incursion was a great multimedia experience for the students today and definitely sparked some interest into music production.
This week we started our digital licences. For more information please see: https://www.digitallicence.com.au/about/
Homework is placed under the homework tab. It's all about helping out around the home. Ciao!
